  1. Is this in the same Gili Air and Gili Trawangan group? I stayed on Trawangan (I thought it was spelt differently but that is what I found on my quick search) in 1983 and there was one hut with green tree snakes in the thatched ceiling and our meals were cooked in a dirt kitchen. The shared toilet and mandi were outside with no doors and no roof. In fact the toilet had two entrances and the chicken would run through. Ah those were the days.

  2. No, Gili Asahan is off the southwest coast of Lombok. It’s in a group called the Secret Gilis! In terms of tourism, they’re a lot less developed than Gili T and the like, although I’m sure it won’t be long until the secret gets out..
